Hello all you lovelies! It's been a great week in PA and I hope it's
been a great week wherever in the world you and yours might be! It's
been a little rainy out here the last few weeks but it has been worth
it! The rain created the most beautiful spring I have ever seen! It's
so green and pink and white and vibrant! It's so beautiful, so I can
testify that April showers do bring those May flowers!

This week we were able to meet with Kate again! Kate is the wife of a
member and she has been investigating the church for a few years but
there have been some things holding her back from entering those
waters! Well on my first night in Kutztown we had dinner with her and
were able to talk about those things holding her back. So this week we
had lunch with her and did follow up on what she was able to find out
from reading scriptures and from praying. She wants to be baptized!
The amazing part is that her two kids want to be baptized too, so she
wants to have all of the be baptized at the same time! She is just the
sweetest lady and she has such a testimony of the things she has seen
and learned over her years of meeting with missionaries and going to
church.

We also went to see one of our investigators named Yao. Yao is from
China and has basically been unavailable for the last few months, she
went back to China in January and was gone for two months. Then she
had a baby, and she's graduating from college so they've had a crazy
few months! We were able to sit down with her for a second and talk,
she is seriously so cute! She's also super excited to come to church
again and to introduce her baby to the ward!

We also had something super sad happen, we have a man named Dave who
has been meeting with missionaries with his wife, Ethel. Well just
last week Ethel passed away from Leukemia. We stopped by Dave just the
other day and he's doing good! He also wants us to keep coming by to
visit and to talk about Jesus Christ.

We visited the Bensons recently and they are so awesome! Brother
Benson went to USU for a little so we had a nice chat about good ol'
Logan! Sister Benson is less active but loves the gospel so much. We
showed the new Mormon Message "The Music of the Gospel" (it's amazing!
If you have not seen it drop everything and watch it right now) and
then had a nice chat about how now more than ever we need to have
strong testimonies of our Savior and to feel the music of the gospel,
not just do the dance steps!

This week we finally met with a Less Active/Recent Convert who we've
been trying to get into contact with for forever! Sarah is attending
Kutztown University and it's finals week so she's been crazy busy.
She's so sweet though! She is the Vice President of the drama club and
just loves it! She told us about how she had a show during general
Conference but every time she wasn't on stage she was in the back
watching it so she could have a spiritual break! It was just really
good to see her and talk with her!

Gosh, I just love the Skidmore family. I wish I could just have all of
you meet them because I know you'd all love them too! I can't remember
if I gave background but they are all recent converts, they've been
baptized about a year and then their 10 year old daughter, Alex, just
got baptized in December. They are so awesome. They love the gospel so
much and they love to share it all the time! They always bear
testimony of how this gospel has changed their lives and you can see
it when you look at them. They are incredible people and they are
living testimonies that this gospel works, and that it works
wonderfully!

This week we had the coolest dinner appointment in the history of
dinner appointments. We had dinner with the Kirkland's. Sister
Kirkland is a Jewish convert and Brother Kirkland is from Idaho. They
are the best people ever. So we get to their house and we are having
this nice conversation and then I meet Oso. Oso is their Portuguese
Mountain dog and Oso is his nickname, its short for oh so big and he's
huge! The amazingness didn't end there. Soon enough they took us up to
the LOTR room. That is right, they have a whole room dedicated to Lord
of the Rings. It was amazing, I have pictures. It still didn't end
there! Brother Kirkland told this story of how Sister Kirkland asked
for a one carat ring, so he made one, and now he gives one to all the
sister missionaries who come for dinner! It's so cool! I also have
pictures! It still didn't end there I'm telling you these people are
so cool. They then took us to their granddaughters room where Brother
Kirkland runs his business of making, that's right, FAIRY HOUSES. They
are so incredible. I have pictures. This family is awesome!

Today was good! We went hiking with Sister Jameson and her baby
Charlie. It was so fun! Also there is this thing about Pennsylvania so
you can swing from vines out here. So of course we had to try it!
Well, I went last and the vine literally snapped as I was swinging! No
worries I didn't hurt anything other than my pride, but I get why it's
so hard for George to swing now!

This Sunday we had a stake conference broadcast from SLC and it was so
good! Elder Perkins of the 70 spoke and he talked about repentance. I
know repentance is so important it's the only thing that can help us
get back to our Heavenly Father. I know repentance is real and that it
works, I know that it brings us true joy and happiness. If there is
anything holding you back from becoming who Heavenly Father wants you
to become I invite you to change, or repent, and get back on track. I
know its worth it and it works because I have seen it in my life.

I love you all! I know Christ lives. I know the gospel is real. I know
this is His work, and I've never been happier. It's a great time to
serve the Lord.

Much love,

Sister Jackson
